GEORGETOWN, TEXAS β The Georgetown ISD Education Foundation will host its 6th Annual 50 Fellas Foodfest on Saturday, October 14 at the Ride On Center for Kids (R.O.C.K.) event barn to support students in the Georgetown ISD.
Nearly 50 teams will be showcasing their culinary talent with appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Entries will be sampled and judged by guests with awards given by popular vote in each category.Β
Tickets to the event are $75 each and include tastings from every team, plus complimentary beer, wine, tea, and water. Guests will also enjoy live music and a live auction.Β
“Since its formation in 2015, the GISD Education Foundation has raised more than $650,000 to support teaching and learning in GISD schools,” Greg Bowden, GISD Education Foundation founder said. ” We anticipate nearly 600 guests will come out to support our mission toΒ assist the district in providing a world-class education for all students.β
Funds support innovative teaching grants, the districtβs SeaPerch underwater robotics program, cosmetology, AVID, and the NEXT College program as well as staff recognition programs in Georgetown ISD.Β
