Market Days – Second Saturday each month March through November, You’ll find a wide variety of permanent merchants and restaurants eager to serve you plus booths set up with arts & crafts, jewelry, unique clothing, wood crafts, iron works, festive foods, antiques & collectibles, stained glass and much more. First Friday – February thru November – There’s no more beautiful place or time to enjoy an evening with friends and family than First Friday on the Georgetown Square! Enjoy shopping, unique gifts, friendly folks and great food.
The shops on the square will stay open extra late, so come have dinner, take a walk and enjoy some shopping, two wineries and the Williamson Museum. Some places serve snacks and treats, and usually live music is happening somewhere. Learn More Here
Pistons on the Square – Every Third Saturday, Car and motorcycle lovers here’s something just for you! Every third Saturday (depending on the weather) on the Georgetown Texas square you will find a gathering of antique, classic, muscle, late model cars and motorcycles. Learn More Here
Music on the Square Summer Concerts – Almost Every Friday night during June, July and August the city of Georgetown has arranged for us to enjoy free Live Music on the Most Beautiful Town Square in Texas! Bring your chairs or blankets and your ice chest if you like (no glass) and enjoy the Summer Concerts and beautiful summer evenings with friends. Learn More Here
Sunset Movie Series – Our city has come up with some warm weather fun for families this spring and summer with their Sunset Movie Series! Martin Luther King Day – Join in the celebration and remembrance of civil rights activist Martin Luther King Jr. In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, there are several free events planned for us including a Youth Service Day, Day of Service, a 7 Block March and Program and an Interdisciplinary Symposium. Chase the Chief 5K and Fun Run – The Annual Chase the Chief 5K and Fun Run is just around the corner! This is sure to be a fun filled day for the entire family! Participants will get the chance to “Chase” Georgetown Police Chief Wayne Nero, in the 5k race, and Assistant Police Chief Cory Tchida, in the Fun Run event.
Activities for the day include the 5k race, the Fun Run, Chief’s Challenge, Award Ceremony, Georgetown Police Department obstacle course, fitness fair and healthy snacks! Learn More Here
The Georgetown Texas Photography Festival – 2019 was the very first year for the Georgetown Texas Photography Festival. This is a free event, held on the Georgetown Square.
The fun includes Demonstrations, A Photo Walk, Models, Vendors and Exhibits, Meet and Greet with the Photographers plus Nikon and Precision Camera will be there. The Georgetown Texas Photography Festival is hosted by David Valdez and co-hosted by the Williamson Museum. Learn More Here
The Georgetown Swirl – You’ll want to get your friends together for this fun event! The Georgetown Swirl offers Wine, Food Tasting and Jazz Music – all while shopping on the gorgeous Georgetown Square. The 9th Annual Swirl is presented by The Georgetown Main Street Program. Learn More Here

Visit Our Georgetown Easter Egg Hunts Guide Here
Eggstravaganza Georgetown Easter Egg Hunt – It’s a free Easter Egg Hunt at San Gabriel Park. Bring the family and folding chairs and enjoy the fun and beauty of San Gabriel Park in the Springtime! Annual Benefit Choral Concert – You are invited to the Annual Benefit Choral Concert presented by Faith in Action Georgetown. Featuring choir members from 10 area faith communities. Learn More Here
GTX Film Festival and How To Conference – For 2019 GTX Film is pleased to announce its inaugural event at several locations around Georgetown. The Festival includes a Pitch Competition, a double feature screening, screening of student films and short independent films. Learn More Here
Red Poppy Festival – Whether you are a Georgetown native, just getting here or somewhere in between, you’ll want to join in the fun at the Red Poppy Festival right here in Georgetown, Texas!
Bring the whole family because there is something for everybody; including a Parade with bands, floats and all the trimmings, a Classic Car Show, Live Music, Concerts, Art Displays, Kid’s Area with games and fun, artisan shopping booths and Live Music on several stages! Soiree (Last Weekend of April 2021) – Three nonprofits. Thousands of children helped. That, in a nutshell, is what The Soiree is all about. This fundraising event will feature dining, dancing, nostalgic games and an opportunity to put on your best gown, your shiniest shoes and your blingiest jewelry. The best part? Every dollar raised benefits The Georgetown Project, CASA of Williamson County and the Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center. Giving back just got a whole lot fancier. Memorial Day Ceremony – Be a part of honoring of the men and women of our armed forces who have given their lives in service to our country and our freedom at the Annual Georgetown Texas Memorial Day Ceremony.
Featuring guest speakers and special music. The program begins with a presentation involving color guards from the East View and Georgetown high schools, the Georgetown Fire Department, and the Williamson County EMS. Learn More Here

Georgetown Wine and Music Festival – Bring your sweetie or your friends or both and enjoy the Most Beautiful Town Square in Texas, listen to local musicians, visit the unique and interesting shops around the square and enjoy tasting a lot of awesome Texas wine!
The 11th Annual Georgetown Wine & Music Festival is a presentation of the Downtown Georgetown Association. A Souvenir Glass and a punch card give you the opportunity to taste from each participating winery with 1 bonus tasting. Learn More Here
Sweet Eats Fruit Farm Fall Fest – Weekends late September through mid November. We will have our usual farm activities: pony rides, petting zoo, hay maze, bouncy pad, face painting and obstacle course.
The Fall Festival will include a large pumpkin patch, many fall photo opportunities, hay rides, live music, local food truck and adult beverages. Learn More Here
K-9 Kerplunk! – It’s an end of summer pool party just for dogs!!! Be sure to bring proof of vaccinations because it’s required for entry. All dogs must be accompanied by someone 18 years or older. Learn More Here

Sun City Garage Sale – Twice a year the Sun City Texas Community Association and Sun City Kiwanis host a really big public garage sale. The Garage Sale is a great event for shopping, buying and selling household items.
You can find almost anything you’re looking for. You might want to get there early for a good parking place, but they won’t sell any items before 8am.
Clayman Rodeo – Attention Rodeo Fans! The Clayman Rodeo in Georgetown, Texas is coming up! Bring the whole family and enjoy Team Roping, Pole Bending, Barrel Racing, Calf Roping, Clowns, freebies and a full concession stand.
Featuring students of Kelly’s Kids and The Clayman Roping School. Students of all ages will compete. At the end of the night $16,000+ in awards will be give out. Learn More Here
Boo Run – The 9th Annual Exceptional Georgetown Alliance Boo Run takes place this year in beautiful San Gabriel Park in the heart of Georgetown, Texas. Both the chip-timed 5K race and 1 mile family fun run meander along the scenic San Gabriel River.
Come in your Halloween costume for a kids’ costume contest! Proceeds from this event help to fund extracurricular events, activities and summer day camp for students in Georgetown with Special Needs. Learn More Here
Nightmare on Jail Hill Haunted House – Gather your friends and get on over to Nightmare on Jail Hill Haunted House. Featured on Ghost Hunters TV show and rumored to be haunted, this is the frightening place for some Halloween fun this year!!!
Nightmare on Jail Hill takes place at the Old Williamson County Jail where prisoners stayed from 1889 all the way to 1990, but some of them may still be hanging around! Learn More Here
Boo N Brew at Wolf Ranch Town Center – This is a great family fun event, free for attendees, with lots of fun hands on interaction and entertainment! Treats include a Beer Sampling for the 21+ crowd, adult costume contest, Trick-or-Treating, DJ playing some great music, games, pumpkin painting, photo booth, root beer sampling and lots more. Pumpkin Patch at First United Methodist Church – Hurray! It’s the Pumpkin Patch at First United Methodist Church Georgetown. They are ready for us this year with all sizes of pumpkins, Movie Night and Trunk or Treat Night! Pumpkins vary in price based on their size. Learn More Here

Field of Honor – Paying tribute to our valued veterans, active and reserve duty military, first responders and personal heroes during the week of Veterans Day. Presented by the Rotary Club of Georgetown, this truly inspiring event will feature a stunning and emotion-filled display of over 1500 full sized U.S. flags posted at San Gabriel Park’s activity field. Turkey Trot – Start your Thanksgiving Day with the Georgetown Turkey Trot 5 Mile and Fun Run! This years event features an un-timed 5 mile run/walk, 1 mile walk, Kids Fun Run, sponsor booths and tons of fun! Community Thanksgiving – Everyone is invited to enjoy a community Thanksgiving in Georgetown! Volunteers will be serving a full sit-down dinner at two locations around town. The dinner is completely free and there are no tickets to purchase. Dinner will be served to 500 on a first come first served basis. Learn More Here

Christmas Stroll – Bring the whole family and come out this year for the 37th annual Christmas Stroll! The Georgetown Square will come to life with Christmas Magic and Sparkle.
Enjoy the season on the Most Beautiful Town Square in Texas with twinkling white lights in the trees, old fashioned lamp poles dressed for the holiday, a Christmas Tree Farm and Santa Clause waiting to visit with your children. Christmas Stroll Parade – Come join us for the Annual Christmas Stroll Parade, Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 10am. The parade begins at the corner of E. 2nd Street and S. Church Street.
