Earth Day is April 22, but Georgetown is getting the party started early. The Cityβs Family Nature Fest returns to Garey Park on April 11 and it is one of the most beloved free family events of the year. Here is everything you need to know to make a day of it.

Celebrate Earth Day in Georgetown at Family Nature Fest on April 11
The City of Georgetown is celebrating Earth Day this April with its annual event focused on nature and environmental education.
Gather the family from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 11, and head to Garey Park, 6450 RM 2243, for Family Nature Fest. The event focuses on connecting families with nature through a variety of activities, demonstrations, and environmental education.
Activities include upcycled nature crafts, wild animal visitors, disc golf, a petting zoo, nature hikes, and more. Food trucks will also be onsite.
Garey Park entry fees are required, and some activities may include a fee.
Volunteers are needed to help with the event. Sign up is available on our website.
