Four Williamson County Justices of the Peace have been recognized for their leadership and compassion in supporting organ donation. The Texas Organ Sharing Alliance (TOSA) presented Justices Musselman, Williams, McLean and Redden with its Recognition of Excellence in Organ Donation award, an honor reserved for those who demonstrate exceptional commitment to donor families and lifesaving advocacy.
TOSA praised the justices for their dedication during some of the most difficult moments families face, noting that each one βconsistently goes above and beyond in their service to the citizens of Williamson County.β When a potential donor case falls under their jurisdiction, the justices ensure families receive a thorough investigative process while preserving every possible opportunity for organ donation. Their work supports patient wishes through donor registries and brings comfort to families who choose to help others through their loss.
This award highlights the strong partnership between Williamson County and TOSA in upholding best practices for organ donation. The justices work collaboratively with TOSA to ensure timely communication, accurate case handling and compassionate support for families considering donation.
The Recognition of Excellence in Organ Donation is awarded to individuals and agencies across Central and South Texas who demonstrate outstanding advocacy and cooperation in the organ donation process.
