GEORGETOWN, TEXAS β Celebrate the start of the holiday season at Georgetownβs beloved Annual Lighting of the Square on Friday, Nov. 28, 2025, the day after Thanksgiving.
The event will take place from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on the east steps of the historic Williamson County Courthouse, 710 S. Main St.

5:30 p.m. β Festivities and live holiday entertainment begin featuring the Uptown Carolers

6:00 p.m. β Georgetown Mayor Pro Tem Kevin Pitts and Williamson County Court Judge Steven Snell flip the switch to light up the Courthouse and Downtown Square

6:30 β 8:00 p.m. β Photos with Santa inside the Courthouse, hosted by Williamson County Brown Santa

Entry on the south side of the Courthouse (Eighth Street)

Free with a donation of an unwrapped toy or monetary contribution

Toy donations for Georgetown Police Departmentβs Blue Santa and Williamson Countyβs Brown Santa are encouraged.

Note: Rock, Church, and Ninth Streets will remain open. Due to ongoing bridge construction on Austin Avenue, attendees are encouraged to seek alternate routes.
Holiday Lights
The lights around the Square are provided by the City of Georgetown, and the Williamson County Courthouse lights are provided by the County.
The holiday lights will shine nightly through Jan. 1, 2026.
