As Central Texas continues to recover from the devastating July flooding, local wildlife has quietly become one of the many affected. All Things Wild Rehabilitation Center is currently caring for over 500 wild animals, including more than 100 injured, orphaned, or displaced due to floodwaters.
From tiny birds to mammals like raccoons, opossums, and yes, skunks, these animals require round-the-clock care, and the organization is asking the community for support.
These aren’t quick visits. Most animals arrive needing weeks or even months of recovery, with specific diets, specialized housing, and daily medical attention from volunteers and staff. The team is doing all they can, but the needs are great and growing.
