As winter weather continues to affect parts of Central Texas, Georgetown Independent School District has announced it will remain closed Tuesday, January 27th, citing safety concerns and varying conditions across the district’s geographic area.
The district shared the update through its official communication channels as conditions continue to differ by location.

Out of an abundance of caution and safety, Georgetown ISD will remain closed tomorrow, January 27, 2026.
The district recognizes that weather conditions vary throughout the area, and districts may experience varying impacts in their unique geographic areas.
At this time, Georgetown ISD expects after-school extracurricular activities may resume on Tuesday unless otherwise communicated by a coach or director.
Families and staff are encouraged to continue monitoring official district communications for any additional updates.
