| GEORGETOWN, TEXAS — The annual Chase the Chief event continues to make a powerful impact in promoting student wellness and physical education. This year’s event, held in partnership with the Georgetown Police Department, raised an impressive $32,340.00 to support elementary physical education programs across the district.
Hundreds of students and families turned out to walk, run, and “chase the chief” in a fun, community-centered event that not only encourages fitness but directly supports health and wellness initiatives in GISD schools.
Funds raised through Chase the Chief will benefit PE programs at all GISD elementary campuses, supporting equipment needs, wellness initiatives, and activities that help foster lifelong healthy habits in students.
Since its inception, Chase the Chief has grown into a highly anticipated annual tradition, combining fitness, family fun, and community collaboration. The 2025 event is already in planning stages, with goals to expand participation and impact even further.
