September 10, 2025 (Georgetown, TX) – Join the party, y’all, at local independent pet store Wag Heaven Saturday September 27th for Neighborhood Pet Store Day, an annual event that raises awareness about the quality products, services, and expertise local independent pet stores offer in their communities.
Wag Heaven is thrilled to offer several community-supportive activities, including a Low-Cost Vaccine Clinic, Pet Adoption, Pet Grooming, FREE Microchip Checking, and a FREE Cook-Out. There’ll also be FREE popcorn, coffee, and beverages Saturday September 27th, 2025 while supplies last.
Wag Heaven will offer big discounts on participating brands in addition to the store-wide activities. “It is a way for us to shine a light on the unrivaled customer experience provided by independent pet store retailers,” says Jeff Manley, co-owner of Wag Heaven. “And a way for us to show our appreciation to our own Georgetown community.”

The following pet services will be offered:
12pm to 4pm – Pet Adoption by Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter
12pm to 4pm – Local business Royal Paws Mobile Grooming will be parked in front of Wag Heaven offering nail trimming and basic grooming services at discounted prices.
1pm to 4pm – Dog Preventative Care Vaccine Clinic with local veterinarian Dr. Miranda Coates of Cherished Companions Mobile Veterinarian Care. The clinic will offer a variety of affordable preventative care for puppies and adult dogs, including a basic core vaccine package for $55.00. Heartworm tests will be available at a reduced price of $25.00. “We will also offer a 10% discount to military and first responders” confirms Dr. Coates. “$2.00 of each vaccine will be donated to pet related charities.” The clinic will be offered on a walk-in first-come first-served basis.
“Best of Georgetown” Local Photographer Ron Parks will be snapping pet pictures and sharing them on his Facebook page for downloading. Rivery Coffee & Bagels, another local Georgetown business, will team up with Wag Heaven during the pet adoption, offering free samples of its house coffee, iced tea, and cookies while supplies last.
Wag Heaven will offer Self-Serve Dog Washes at $4 Off all day. Personalized Engraved Pet ID Tags will be offered at $2 OFF.
New pet parents adopting from local pet rescue organizations will get a Wag Heaven Adoption Package, which includes a FREE small bag of pet food, FREE ID tag, and a FREE self-serve dog wash, along with 10% Off on same-day purchases.
