The Caring Place has won $5,500 from H-E-B as part of the grocery store chain’s 55th anniversary celebration event!
“Thank you,” The Caring Place wrote on Facebook. “We are always astounded by this community and our amazing friends here!”
Georgetown residents voted for The Caring Place out of five charities in the running in the community. H-E-B said the charities were selected to “represent our core pillars of Education, Hunger Relief, Health and Wellness and Social Services.”
With the $5,500, The Caring Place said they can purchase 44,000 meals for neighbors in need.
