There is something magical about watching a classic film on a big screen with fellow movie lovers, and this October the Georgetown Public Library is bringing back its much-loved Spooky Film Festival featuring the master of suspense himself, Alfred Hitchcock.
On three Wednesday evenings in October, the Library will transform into a cozy, slightly chilling theater for Hitchcockโs unforgettable films. This yearโs lineup includes Rope on October 8, The Birds on October 15, and Shadow of a Doubt on October 22.
Arrive at 6 p.m. to settle in with popcorn and enjoy vintage extras such as interviews, retro trailers, and rare footage that set the stage for the nightโs feature. The main screenings begin at 6:30 p.m.
The Spooky Film Festival is free and open to the public, with parental discretion advised for anyone under 18. All films will be shown with captions when available, and a hearing loop is provided for those who need it.
Whether you are a lifelong Hitchcock fan or just dipping your toes into his world of suspense, this is a wonderful chance to experience these iconic thrillers with your community.
