The Georgetown Independent School District named Jennifer Hanna as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at a monthly board meeting on Monday, September 19.
Hanna enters this new role with 18 years of experience in various financial positions in Texas public schools, most recently serving as CFO for Del Valle ISD and Liberty Hill ISD prior to that. Hanna has also served as an Assistant and Regional Controller, Financial Accountant and Senior Auditor in corporate settings.
Hanna holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Trinity University and is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Texas School Business Official.
In her current role at Del Valle ISD, Hanna oversees business and finance related functions of the district, plans for district growth and corresponding operational needs, and has served as the financial advisor to the Superintendent and Board of Trustees.
In her new role, Hanna will be responsible for directing, managing, and providing leadership for business and operations functions for the district, as well as directing and monitoring the management and investment of all district funds to ensure they are adequately protected, among other duties.
Hanna will begin her new role on October 17.
