Hello Farmers and Ranchers,
It’s time again for the easiest and most convenient way to obtain 8 of the CEU credits that go more than halfway to satisfying the required 15 CEUs needed each 5-year period!! Thursday, December 14th, 2023 is the District 8 – Farm and Ranch CEU Program for 2023.
This D-8 Program will be via live-streamed video fed into our Texas A&M Extension facility here in Georgetown. Our lineup this year will include a cast of eight representatives from both the TDA and Texas A&M AgriLife. Topics will include:
- Forage Management during Drought
- Parasite Management in Livestock
- Pesticide Laws and Regulations Compliance
- Updates in TDA Pesticide Laws
- Herbicides for Cotton Production
- Grass Bur Control Options in Forage Crops
- Herbicide Mode of Action, and,
- Pests of Forage Crops
Private Pesticide applicators are required to accumulate 15 continuing education units (CEU’s) during each five-year period to maintain their applicator’s license; Commercial Applicators need 5 CEUs each year – take advantage of this convenient way to obtain 8 CEU credits (including 4-General, 2-Laws and Regs, and 2-IPM) that will go a long way to provide the 15 CEUs needed every 5 years.
Refreshments, lunch, and snacks will be provided.
