All Things Wild Rehabilitation has announced they will be launching a club for kids in 2023!
“Crazy for cottontails? Passionate about opossums? Silly for squirrels or skunks? Or maybe turtles, armadillos, owls, hawks, or songbirds are more your thing,” the organization wrote in their monthly newsletter. “Then plan to come join us as we kick off two new kids’ clubs – All Things Wild Animal Adventurers (for 1st through 5th grade) and Junior Wildlife Rehabilitators’ Club (for 6th grade and up)!”
The club will feature opportunities to meet some of the animal ambassadors at All Things Wild, learn about their habitats and habits, life cycle and diets, the organization said.
“We’ll see about how humans and animals can live better together and how each one of us can do our part to take better care of our planet Earth,” the organization wrote. “You’ll get a glimpse of how the many people involved with All Things Wild help injured and orphaned animals get strong and healthy so that they can be released back into the wild.”
An introductory meeting is planned for the end of April, and interested parents and guardians are welcome to attend with their child.
“We are so excited about this new opportunity and are looking forward to meeting all our potential future wildlife rehabilitators,” the organization wrote.”
All Things Wild asks interested individuals to email allthingswildrehab@gmail.com with contact information (your name, child’s name, child’s age, your email, and phone number) to get additional details as the date gets closer.
