Georgetown residents are invited to gather for a free Community Thanksgiving meal on Wednesday, November 27, at the Georgetown Community Center at 445 E Morrow St. The annual event will serve a warm holiday meal from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., welcoming anyone who would like to share Thanksgiving with others.
The meal is hosted by a volunteer-led team dedicated to ensuring that no one in the community spends the holiday without food or connection. Plates are served on a first-come, first-served basis, and the event is offered dine-in only, creating a shared space for neighbors to enjoy the holiday together.
The Community Thanksgiving is supported by a range of local partners, including the City of Georgetown, Georgetown Police Department, Georgetown Fire Department, The Beard Club, Robertβs Printing, Sonic, and GW Pyro.
Organizers emphasize that everyone is welcome, making the event a long-standing tradition centered on hospitality, community, and caring for one another during the holiday season.
