The following is a Press Release by the City of Georgetown
The Recreation Center will be closed Aug. 28-Sept. 4, 2023 to complete annual preventative maintenance and upgrades to the facility.
The Village and Williams Drive pools will be open daily Aug. 28-Sept. 1
Recreation Center members to swim during the following times:
- 5:30 to 9 a.m.: Williams Drive Pool, 3201 Williams Dr.
- 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Village Pool, 370 Village Commons Blvd.
Recreation Center staff will be onsite to answer phones from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28-Friday, Sept. 1.
The following items will be of focus during this year’s closure:
- Indoor pool HVAC repair
- Deep cleaning
- Facility flooring and paint updates
- Deep cleaning of weight room equipment
- Administrative tasks and organization
- Staff training/team building
